What if success is to see how well you do what you can do in life. Let's go to the ant as Proverbs 6:6-11 suggest that we do and observe how she demonstrates her resolve to be successful:
having no guide, overseer, or ruler the ant provides her meat in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
If you block an ant from going in one direction immediately the ant will turn and go in a different direction even if it means going over, around or under it doesn't matter the ant will persevere to accomplish her goal!
The ant demonstrates being successful means achieving your goals, plans, visions and seeking alternate routes when obstructions suddenly appear to be hindrances to your light at the end of the tunnel. Rest if you must, but don't quit!
Always remember you are unique and it is your birthright to determine what is important to you so define success according to what YOU are good at NOT what someone else is good at. Your gifts and desires are just that "YOURS" so enjoy what you can do without comparing it to what someone else can do.
Ask yourself:
- What's truly important to me?
- What are my true passions in life?
- What lifestyle do I want to live?
- What would I like to have written on my epitaph?
You are the only one that will see these answers so be honest and detailed and take off the "rose tinted glasses", because this is all about YOU!
